The Arborealists
Contemporary British Art Movement
The Arborealists are a group of contemporary artists who create art inspired by trees, giving trees, forests and woods a special value. The group is a loose association of 60 professional artists, some of international reputation, who share the rich and versatile subject of the tree. The principle dynamic of the group is diversity of art practice that encompasses a wide range of philosophy, media, style, scale and technique.
Fiona is a founding member of the British art movement ‘Arborealists’ who are steadily gaining international recognition with their focus on trees and ecology. In 2018 Fiona was involved in a unique artistic collaboration to draw a 150 year old re-wilded woodland resulting in two exhibitions at Monmouth Museum. In response to this project Fiona worked closely with award winning film maker Kashfi Halford to produce a documentary film called ‘Arborealists in Lady Park Wood’.
